We do a lot with very little. We don't throw fancy fundraisers or other traditional methods that center on wealthy givers rather than the communities we are here to serve.
Giving to Studio Luna ensures our educational and artistic development programs can continue to serve a vastly underserved and often erased part of the population. We’ll say it more clearly: we seek to center the communities that are oppressed, marginalized and institutionally disenfranchised.
We use storytelling and art to transform the culture we live in and to generate a more equitable field. We believe we have to disrupt injustice with stories of real-life experiences and by providing brave spaces for the making of work that documents the times we live in.
We also use our work to provide healing and spark joy so that artists and leaders can step into the most grounded, disciplined, and empowered version of themselves. Because they will be the best chance, we have at impacting more change on a larger scale.
